Hand Drumming

I've been involved in African hand drumming and percussion for the past few years and I play in a number of groups and teach on a regular basis.  For more details of my teaching, click on the 'Tuition' tab above.

I'm a member of the

Dead Goat Appreciation Society,

the performance group of the DGAS women drummers based in New Buckenham

Our music can be found at:

www.dgasmusic.org.uk

We perform at local community events and play West African, North African, Cuban and Haitian rhythms using djembé, bougarabou and dundun drums and incorporating mbira, gankogui Ghanaian bells, tongue drum, clavé, shekere and tamborine.

I'm also a member of

The Pram Band

which comprises Trevor Ault, me and a pram laden with drums and percussive bits.  We specialize in busking (cos of the perambulatory nature of our set-up!) but are equally at home in a fixed environment.

our website is: www.myspace.com/thepramband

If you would like to have either the Dead Goats or The Pram Band perform at your event then do please contact me.  You'll see our upcoming gigs by clicking on
